with mprog you can readout or write the ftdi chip on the device
The Type must be same, FT232BM
If you have an old Mavomonitor the USB VID PID is not default. If you change this to default it runs with the standard FTDI driver!
The old USB Version can be USB 1.1, DO NOT change to 2.0 when the old one is 1.1
Write the correct Serial number see on the device backside
Best is always make a Backup of the old FTDI Information, save as Template and screenshot
When you have succesful updated the old Mavomonitor to the new FTDI default setup you can write the factors.
